Why so short?
Excellent! Love this 😊
I'm in tears, it hope people understand the importance of this lecture and hold back judgment
I must say, the book is delightful, especially the first edition. The photos are gorgeous!
The video for Love's Secret Domain is on UA-cam and is blatantly paedophile.
Some of the worst audio quality ive yet come across. Sounds like a police interrogation video. Love the project idea, but unlistenable.
Thanks for your comment. This presentation was pre-recorded and delivered over Zoom, and we couldn't access the original audio. We will continue trying to get better audio and upload a fixed version because we agree this is obviously poor quality. We took the view that bad quality was better than not uploading but perhaps we were wrong about that.
Most of the non-plant parts of the Voynich Manuscript are about Ensoulment in the tradition of Aristotle. The star-like images are not the stars in the night sky. The star-like images are souls. Quire 13 is about pregnancy. The nymphs come from the father and prepare the body of the mother-to-be to receive the soul 40 or 80 days after conception in the tradition of Aristotle. The first four pages of Quire 10 show the ensouled baby soul growing in the womb of the mother.
Thank you for the Heart! Do you know anyone who is actively working with A.I. and the Voynich Manuscript?
the truly terrible audio quality aside the "lecture" seemed to consist of a lot of bland broad generalities and various quotes from the lynch book room to dream.
What a lovely surprise! Informative and honestly kinda timely (I just screwed up crafting an inyx a couple of days ago!😂) I've only had the pleasure to catch a few but Harper's classes are always fantastic. ❤
Interesting. Revelation of the method.
Super radical intro song Great channel. Subbed. Big up.
Thank you so much!
Interesting..thank you
Hmm there was less in here about Coltrane than I would have expected given his esoteric ideas of musical improvisation well before the 60's. But this was a fascinating lecture
The original component of magic is the shaman - the open mind able to accept the deluge and translate it into thought. How to create the shaman? By the time a child is born into this society it is too late, the iron sky is closed. The way becomes clear to the seeker of truth.
"'The universities do not teach all things, so a doctor must seek out old wives, gypsies, sorcerers, wandering tribes, old robbers, and such outlaws and take lessons from them." - Paracelsus
Fantastic!
Putting back together Art, Science, Language and Consciousness into a new Form of Magic to transform collective Consciousness. Modern Art could Do it but it needs directl links to the real physical World, it needs to slip out of the Digital World into our experienced World, not only conceptual constructs. And a good Artwork needs time for contemplation to appear in our World, we channel but the "3d printing " needs time. If not the Artwork is just a dead object, no soul. Just another empty shell to buy
The explanation of the tarot card The Devil at 50:30 is mind-blowing.
Going beyond your body concerning gender it’s called death.
Love peter greys writing but there are different ways of doing it besides bloodletting. To each his own
Damnit wrong Dr. Kaczynski…but this was pretty cool.
I love how Alan Moore watches Peaky Blinders!
AMEN!
Alan Moore is a treasure of humanity, appreciated only by a select few.
Thank you Peter
Brilliant
He spoke without notes.
Much as I admire Alan Moore, it seems to me that counterculture people think magic and ecstasy, and the enlightenment they can engender, are always an act of rebellion against a stuffy society that gives no thought to such matters. And that's true enough, I suppose. But to say that there's no ecstasy in society ignores types of ecstasy that are just as compelling, and just as transforming, but are outside the counterculture scope. I'm speaking of the very palpable ecstasy you see in fundamentalist faith. In revival tents and megachurches. On the faces of those women letting Donald Trump kiss their babies in 2016, and the savage howls of the men who stormed the Capitol in 2021. And of course, in the rhetoric of suicide bombers who are sure they're due a prime place in Heaven with 72 virgin wives. Magic, of the sort Mr. Moore talks about, is very present in all those areas. Words and energies are used to transform the world. Metaphors are evoked, and then passed for fact, because the unconscious mind doesn't mark the difference. The shaman draws passionate fantasies from their subconscious, and convert their audience into thinking in a new way. That applies to artists, but it also applies to fascists. The difference lies in what the fantasy contains, whether it's a fantasy of reverence or hubris.
Trans - states has come a long way in 4 years. Now, women have bollocks.
That was an excellent talk!
Thank you. Deserves more views and comments 😁💫
So goof and important for me. Thank you!
Straight to the Lake of Fire for Peter Grey.
Davro
Not one mention of bob Davo!
That's my dream to have scholars who specialize in the combination of esotericism and of music 🧐
If Stravinsky or Einstein had been 100 percent ecstatic then they wouldn't have been able to work on their music or their theory. This is part of the dull job. It's having the space (mentally) to choose your job which is key. This compartmentalisation.
I am reading Jerusalem a second time immediately after reading it the first time, and the beauty and power of Moore's writing shakes me to the soul. He's a magician.
that's nuts. I couldn't even make it past page 60. I read his first book voice of the fire and thought he had a lot of potential as a novelist but then Jerusalem proved me wrong. Never has a book in more desperate need of a good editor.
It is true that the book isn't always an easy read, arguably, and requires commitment from the reader, but when the entirety has been processed it is a truly remarkable piece of work.
We Need subtitules for can understanding beutiful and love words of this great artist and magician.
I hope her book on Peladan is out soon.
I disagree with him regarding exposure to the spiritual realm, If everyone was suddenly awakened to spiritual energies, the blind materialistic drives destroying us, would relent.
He needs the notes honestly
A great presentation...Dr. Chaitow's explanation of Péladan's classification as one being a consummate fool, an animique or an intellectual seems very similar to the Gnostic classification of the hylics, somatics or sarkics, the psychics or psuchikoi, and the pneumatics or pneumatikoi.
I've had several requests for the name of the musician I referred to in this talk, who spoke of space always moving, like a sleeping cat. He is the composer Toshiya Tsunoda. Pure auditory revelations... highly recommended listening.
Love how brought it all back together at the end there and even did a clever head knod to himself like he knew that was a mic drop lol
Wonderful talk.
great except I wish I didn't have to look at the dread lock guy the whole time.goofy
I love Alan Moore but that famous story about tha Aztecs always makes me laugh - it's hard to believe they got as far as they did without developing a way to say the phrase: "What the fuck is that?"
I have great respect for Dr. Butler's work, but I believe Hancock is misrepresented (4:39-4:55 ) and deserves a citation. I don't think Hancock held/holds this perspective, though he discusses it. That said, thanks for posting; every snippet of a lecture she provides is well worth the listen.
"All the world's a stage." said old Bill. Next time in line at the grocery just step back take a breath and notice how convincing the lighting is and the acting superb and the lines are perfect with incomparable set design. All just flawless. Even the 'extras' outside are flawless whatever they are doing. The plot? Far more interesting and complicated - or less - than just getting the milk and bread. Such a great talk here. Thanks for this wonderful story Jeffrey . Really.
